Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about the new SEPA direct debit mandate.

Why is my direct debit mandate for Bluecode changing?

Depending on your bank, you may use Bluecode in the so-called direct debit procedure. The direct debit mandate and the processing of Bluecode payments have so far been handled for most users by Volksbank eG, Okenstraße 7 in 77652 Offenburg. Due to a technical change, this task will be carried out in the future by PAYONE GmbH, Lyoner Straße 15 in 60528 Frankfurt am Main in conjunction with Secure Payment Technologies GmbH, Müllerstraße 27 in 6020 Innsbruck (Austria). Your consent is required for this change of billing partner and for the transfer of your bank and address details.

To whom is data transferred?

PAYONE GmbH is a leading payment service provider based in Frankfurt am Main and licensed and supervised as an electronic money institution by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) in Bonn. PAYONE works with many well-known brands and banks and will take over the processing of our direct debit payments in the future.

Secure Payment Technologies GmbH (SPT), based in Innsbruck, Austria, is a technical service provider of the Bluecode Group and supports numerous banks and financial service providers in the technical implementation of the Bluecode direct debit procedure.

What exactly will change for me?

Actually, almost nothing: You continue to use Bluecode as usual. The main difference is that in the future, PAYONE GmbH – instead of Volksbank eG – will debit your payments by direct debit and manage the direct debit mandate and your personal data together with Secure Payment Technologies GmbH.

Do I have to do anything?

Yes, please give your consent once to the transfer of your data to PAYONE GmbH and Secure Payment Technologies GmbH. You can either do this easily via the link you received by email, or you can open the app you usually use for Bluecode payments and follow the instructions there. The whole process takes less than a minute.

Will there be any costs for me?

No. The switch is completely free of charge for you.

By when do I have to complete the process?

In order for you to continue using Bluecode as usual, we need your consent by 29.05.2025 at the latest. Until then, you can hide the ad by clicking "later" and pay as usual at checkout.

What happens if I don't agree by the deadline?

Without your consent, PAYONE cannot debit direct debits from your account. This means that from 30.05.2025 you could no longer use Bluecode for payments for the time being. Of course, you still have the option of agreeing to the data transfer and making mobile payments again immediately after this time.

What data is transferred?

Your name and bank account details are required to process direct debit payments. If payments cannot be redeemed unexpectedly, you will be contacted first by e-mail and later by post. For this purpose, your contact and address data, which you provided when registering for Bluecode, will therefore also be transmitted.

Will my data remain secure?

Yes, of course. Your data is only transmitted and stored in encrypted form.

Will my Bluecode payment experience change?

No. You can use Bluecode as usual – easily, quickly and securely.

What do I do if I have problems with the link in the email?

No problem! Please open the app with which you use Bluecode. A notice should already appear there, which you can also use to agree to the change of direct debit processor and the transfer of your data. If you have any problems with this, just write a short message to support@bluecode.com. Please don't forget to enter your Bluecoce ID. This is a 6 or 8 digit code made up of numbers and letters. You can find this in every account debit for Bluecode or in the settings for Bluecode in the app.

I get the message in the app "Something went wrong. Please try again later." – what should I do?

Make sure you have a stable internet connection and try again. If the problem persists, please contact our support directly at support@bluecode.com.
